About the District

The Southern Park County Fire Protection District is a political subdivision of the State of Colorado, organized and operating under the Colorado Special District Act, C.R.S. § 32-1-101 through § 32-1-1703, and the Fire Protection District Law, C.R.S. § 32-1-1001.


The District provides fire suppression, wildland fire response, emergency medical services (EMS), hazardous materials response, and community education to residents and property owners within its boundaries in southern Park County, Colorado.


As a special district, SPCFPD is governed by an elected Board of Directors and is subject to all statutory requirements applicable to Colorado special districts, including transparency, open meetings, and fiscal accountability.

Statutory Authority Southern Park County Fire Protection District is organized and operates pursuant to C.R.S. § 32-1-101 et seq. (Special District Act); C.R.S. § 32-1-1001 et seq. (Fire Protection Districts); and all applicable provisions of Colorado law.
